Diablo II & Warcraft III — classic games, private network

HOST trolloks-gaming.vis.tjips
VPN IP 192.168.1.141
PORT 6112
D2 REALM VizTjipz

Getting Started

This server runs on a private VPN network. Before connecting any game, you must have the NetBird client installed and connected. Without it, the server hostname will not resolve and connections will fail.

🛡️
NetBird VPN — Required
Install the NetBird client on your machine and log in to join the private network. Once connected, the hostname trolloks-gaming.vis.tjips will resolve correctly from any device on the network. You can verify connectivity by pinging the host before launching your game.

Diablo II

Both Diablo II Classic and Lord of Destruction are supported. Follow the steps below to redirect your client to this server instead of the official Battle.net.

Supported Versions

Classic & Lord of Destruction

CLASSIC (D2)

1.10 1.11 1.11b 1.12a 1.13c 1.14a 1.14b 1.14c 1.14d

EXPANSION (LOD)

Method A — In-Game Gateway (Recommended)
  • Launch Diablo II
Start the game and reach the Battle.net login screen. Do not log in yet.
  • Click "Battle.net" then click the gateway region
On the gateway selection screen, click Add (or select an empty custom gateway slot if available).
  • Enter the server address
    Set the gateway address to:
    trolloks-gaming.vis.tjips  or  192.168.1.141
  • Connect and create an account
Log in with any username/password — accounts are created automatically on first login.
Method B — Windows Registry Edit
  • Open Registry Editor
Press Win + R, type regedit, press Enter.
  • Navigate to the Diablo II key
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Diablo II
  • Edit or create the "BNETIP" value
Double-click BNETIP (create as String Value if missing) and set it to:
    trolloks-gaming.vis.tjips
  • Save and launch the game
Close regedit, launch Diablo II, and connect via Battle.net normally.
⚠️
Open vs. Closed Characters
This server provides the Battle.net lobby and realm authentication (d2cs), but the D2GS game server (which hosts closed-character games) is not available — it is Windows-only and separate from PvPGN. Use Open Battle.net characters to create and join games. Open characters are not verified server-side, so play with people you trust.
REALM NAME
VizTjipz
Select the VizTjipz realm when creating or selecting a character. Classic and LoD characters are stored separately.

Warcraft III

Warcraft III verifies the Battle.net server's SSL certificate — official clients will reject any non-Blizzard server. You must use W3L, a lightweight client-side loader that patches this check at runtime, before the game connects.

Supported Versions

Reign of Chaos & The Frozen Throne

1.13a1.14a 1.15a1.16a 1.17a1.18a 1.19a1.19b 1.20a–e1.21a 1.21b1.22a 1.23a1.24a–e 1.25b1.26a 1.27a1.27b 1.281.28.1 1.28.21.28.4 1.28.5
⚠️ Warcraft III Reforged (1.32+) is not supported. Use a legacy 1.28.x or earlier install.
Step 1 — Get W3L
  • Download W3L
Search for W3L (Warcraft 3 Loader) on GitHub — the project is at github.com/w3lh/w3l. Download the latest release ZIP for your platform.
  • Extract into your Warcraft III directory
Place w3l.exe (and any accompanying files) directly in your WC3 install folder — same location as Warcraft III.exe or Frozen Throne.exe.
Step 2 — Configure the Server Address
  • Open w3l.ini (or config.ini)
Open the W3L configuration file in any text editor. It will be in the same folder as w3l.exe.
  • Set the gateway / server address
Find the server or gateway setting and change it to:
    # W3L server configuration server = trolloks-gaming.vis.tjips # or use the VPN IP directly: server = 192.168.1.141
  • Save the file
Save w3l.ini and close the text editor.
Step 3 — Launch via W3L
  • Run w3l.exe — not the game directly
Always launch Warcraft III through W3L. It patches the certificate check in memory before the game connects, then starts the game automatically.
  • Connect to Battle.net inside the game
Click Battle.net in the main menu. The game will connect to this private server instead of Blizzard. Create an account with any username and password on first login.
  • Create a game or join the channel
You're in. Create a hosted game or find friends in the default channel. Ladder and custom maps both work normally.
💡
Tip: Create a shortcut to w3l.exe on your desktop so you never accidentally launch the game directly and miss the certificate patch.
